POWER Engineers, Inc - Genearoin ICE Department is currently seeking an Senior Piping/Mechanical Designer to work in our Hailey, ID office. This challenging position offers a completive salary with exciting opportunities at a busy, employee owned engineering firm.
Responsibilities include working in a team environment with minimal direction and developing or directing others to create and/or modify P&IDs;, equipment arrangements, 3D equipment models, routing and modify of 3D piping, select and model pipe supports, extracting of construction isometrics. Sizing and selecting equipment and piping specialties for systems; reviewing vendor submittals; supporting and coordinating with other engineering disciplines as needed; along with providing supervision and mentoring of other designers and drafters. Develop piping and mechanical drawings, details, lists and other engineering deliverables for power generation facilities.
Requirements:
10 years of facility and industrial system design with a minimum of 5 years in power plant design; knowledge of mechanical systems design, P&IDs;, power plant equipment; knowledge of ASME B31.1, and other codes; advanced knowledge of 3D CAD applications including Intergraph's SmartPlant, Aveva PDMS, and MicroStation / AutoCAD.
